Characters don't
get more unrepentingly evil than his small time hood Rafe Garrett in
Johnny Hansome.
Lance says, "The killer I played in Johnny Hansome was a dumb son of bitch who should have been dead at twenty one. But instead of playing him as 'the bad guy' , I saw him as someone who thought other people just didn't know how to live the right way."
Ellen Barkin plays Sunny, plays Rafe's street smart lover. The two are locked in a dangerous and lethal relationship. "When I first got to New Orleans I started walking around the city with Lance, " Barkin recalls, "acting out some of the relationship we would have in the movie, trying to find it.
