The Day Lincoln was Shot

Lance plays Abe Lincoln and helps tell the story of the events leading up to the killing of Abe Lincoln.

"It's a real sorrowful piece ... I was a little afraid of doing him badly ... I don't have any words to describe the fear from dealing with such a beloved figure."

"So I turned it down, but then I started reading and got so hooked on the integrity of the guy that I just couldn't resist doing the role."

Lance did a great deal of research for the role, not least reading many of Lincoln's letters and books.

" ... (I was interested in) what were the conditions of his life at that time in history, what happened to him and how did those events shape him. You hear him talking about the dream he had for our country and it's unbelievable. How can you not be seduced by a personality like that?"
