James
Cameron's directoral debut and Lance's first film with him. "It was an
early movie for everybody - not the first film Jim was ready to do but the first
budget he could get. Cameron was the kind of guy who would be in the motel room
down in Jamaica making rubber fish while everyone else was out partying. He
felt it was his only chance - life or death - so he was obsessed. And I was
obsessed as an actor about my part so we hit it off. I was playing a white Jamaican
guy. It was a very unbalanced movie , Jim didn't write it. You do your best,
no matter what the budget or circumstances. What else are you gonna do?
