Lance filmed a new movie at home in LA. River to Halvita sees Lance cast in the lead role as the devil. Lance told us that he plays a "farmer who maintains the tree of knowledge". He went on to say: "what I learned from this film is a surprise. Mainly, the places it took me. I realized playing the devil, that I had seen the face of God, and wondered what it would be like to see him again ... I like the work we did." Lance got heavily into channelling this role and it seems that the director gave him the freedom to use some of his own ideas and lines for his character - the devil in the guise of a farmer who maintains the tree of knowledge. TMR: The Garden is currently in post-production right now and your role is Satan?
LH: The Garden? Oh yeah they changed the title. The original title was called River to Havala. I played Satan like a farmer. I didn’t play him like a guy with a tail and horns. I just played him like a really practical guy. I got to play out some of my logic about religion. One of the lines that covers it all is I said to him, you know, imagine for a second that he was the only one who’s ever seen God, so I wrote a line in there that says “I’ve seen the face of God, I wonder what its going to be like when I see him again.”
